Pavement trip causes nasty injury
On 4th March 2015, Mrs C was walking along the pavement when she tripped on a raised paving slab and fell to the ground. Mrs C suffered with a fractured finger together with bruising and swelling to her shoulder and knee. Russell Worth were happy to represent Mrs C in a claim against the Council who were responsible for the pavement and its maintenance. Initially the Council were uncooperative and did not respond to us so SW, public liability specialist here at Russell Worth, issued Court proceedings to pressurise the Council into dealing with the matter. SW also arranged for Mrs C to attend an independent medical expert for an examination and subsequent report on her injuries and expected recovery time. The Court proceedings did the trick and within a short period of time the insurance company for the Council made Mrs C an offer of £6,000 for her pain, suffering and losses which included an amount for the cost of new glasses and a handbag which were damaged in the accident. Commenting on the case Mrs C said the following:- “Very prompt, professional service with a very pleasing outcome. I would highly recommend Russell Worth as that's how I discovered them. Best decision ever.”Free Claim Assessment

Road Traffic Accident Case Studies
Passenger in Road Traffic Accident Awarded £1,800
J approached Russell Worth at the end of November 2015 following a car crash in which he was a front seat passenger. The driver of the car J was travelling in was forced to swerve into a wall, avoiding a head on collision with an oncoming, speeding vehicle on a blind bend. J attended his local walk in centre where he was treated for whiplash injuries to his neck. Being a passenger, J was not responsible for his injuries in any way and BS, Road Traffic Accident Specialist here at Russell Worth, submitted a claim against the driver which was then forwarded to her insurance company. Within three weeks of submitting the claim an acknowledgement of responsibility was received from the insurance company. At this stage normal procedure would have been for J to have visited an independent medical expert so that we could accurately value his injuries and this would have been arranged by BS at no cost to J. However, due to personal circumstances J instructed us to accept an offer, prior to any medical report, of £1,800 from the insurance company. Commenting on the case J said the following: ‘Outstanding advice and communication. I have to say BS and the other lovely agents dealing with my claim were not only professional, polite but really knowledgeable. I hadn't ever (and don't plan to again anytime soon!!) claimed for anything and was unaware of how things really worked. The level of communication was so effective and professional I cannot thank you all enough.’Free Claim Assessment

As his vehicle suffered significant damage in the collision, Mr G needed a vehicle as soon as possible so he could continue working, and ensure he didn’t lose any earnings, so a replacement taxi was arranged for him. Physiotherapy treatment was also arranged to help Mr G make as speedy a recovery as possible. Ultimately Mr G accepted an offer of £7475.25 to cover his injury, loss of earnings, vehicle claim (taxi hire ,repair and storage charges) physiotherapy treatment and other expenses.
