Trip and Fall Leaves Client Needing Surgery.
Following tripping on a raised kerb stone when crossing the road, J came to Russell Worth for help in making a personal injury claim. J broke her wrist when she fell and required surgery to aide her recovery. J needed to take time off work as a postwoman for several weeks following the accident and was also unable to go cycling – one of her much loved hobbies. SW, public liability specialist, ensured J received the compensation to which she was entitled despite the Council responsible rigorously defending the claim. SW instructed an experienced barrister to represent J and took the matter to Court where J won her case and was awarded £5494.50 for the pain and suffering she had gone through as well as travel/medical expenses. Commenting on the case J said the following; ‘Fantastic Service. I would like to thank you all very much for all of the hard work you undertook on my behalf in my claim. I am more than happy with the outcome and foremost that the council now have to sort out the defect, meaning no one else will, hopefully, never have to go through the things I did. The money will certainly come in handy and I intend to use it wisely but I cannot thank you enough for all you did and for keeping me so well informed & the barrister I had was a genuinely lovely man and it made the process of court a lot easier. I would definitely recommend you to anyone & I have certainly sung your praises to a lot of people. Once again thank you all for your hard work. J.’Free Claim Assessment

Compensation Awarded for Ear Infection Following Piercing
Our client, Mr X, who was 16 at the time, attended a pharmacy to get his ear pierced following which an infection and cellulitis set in. Due to concerns about the hygiene practices of the chemist and his son’s injury, Mr X’s father approached Russell Worth Solicitors who were happy to represent him in a personal injury claim. LH, public liability specialist, notified the chemist of Mr X’s case which was subsequently passed to the chemist’s insurance company to deal with. The chemist’s insurance company agreed to pay Mr X the sum of £1200 for pain and suffering sustained from the infection. As is usual in cases for claimants under the age of 18, a Court Judge was asked to approve the settlement to ensure it was fair which was agreed. Commenting on the case Mr X’s father said the following; ‘Everything was excellent. Right from the beginning, advice, communication and fulfilment were excellent. My thanks to Russell Worth Solicitors for a superb service.’Free Claim Assessment
