Three of us from Russell Worth are taking part in a SkyDive in aid of St Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth on the 18th August 2013.
As many of you know, lots of us here have been involved in various challenges for St Luke’s in the past – Adrenalin Rush, Triple Challenge, Tree Surfing….to name but a few! This challenge has to be the maddest ever!!!!!
We are taking part in St Luke’s attempt to break the UK record for the most people jumping from 15,000ft in 24 hours! It is a tandem skydive, and will take in views from the North and South Devon coastlines through to the Bristol Channel and South Wales (Yes, as long as we have our eyes open!!!!).
We really would appreciate any amount at all that you are willing to sponsor – and can assure you that payment for the actual jump is coming out of our own money (so any amount we raise via sponsorship will be going directly to the St Luke’s Hospice Charity).
It costs £6million a year to run St Luke’s so that they can provide their care, free of charge to the local community. With only 30% funding from the government their income generation department works hard each year to reach the £4.5million fundraising target to keep their service running.
