Last year’s Under 12’s had a really good season, finishing 6th in the league scoring 47 goals.
We also finished runners up in the cup, losing 7-2 to Elburton Villa in the final. Every player gave 100% and never gave up and but for some indifferent refereeing, we might have got something out of this game.
Again I managed to obtain more sponsorship of nearly £600 from Russell Worth Solicitors. Thanks go to Judith Bloxsome and the Russell Worth Directors. We were able to purchase some additional kit, training tops, water bottles and Sports Bags for each of the players.
We have started this season with a squad of 18 Players and have won our first three games. At the time of writing we are sitting pretty at the top of league. Let’s hope we can maintain this encouraging start and remain in the promotion places, although we all know the end of the season is a long way off yet.
